Posted by Chris From Canada on Nov 6th, 2010 <\/em><\/p>\n On Monday, October 25 over 80 Canadian worship leaders gathered for a pretty historic event. We met up at one of eight locations across Canada \u2013 Moncton, Durham, Barrie, Waterloo, Grimsby, Chatham, Winnipeg and Calgary \u2013 as part of our WorshipRises songwriting event.<\/em><\/p>\n WorshipRises (<\/em>facebook<\/em><\/a>|<\/em>twitter<\/em><\/a>) is all about developing worship resources for & from the Canadian church and we have begun to see this movement spread as a national collective of worship leaders who love God, When all is said and done, I think we\u2019re going to be looking at between 40-50 songs coming in from that day. We\u2019ll begin the re-writing process from here, getting the writers to finish the songs they started and look at sending some of these to our worship leader network across the country. Hopefully before too long we\u2019ll have a sense if some of these songs are really connecting on a local congregational level and we can begin sharing them more broadly.<\/em><\/p>\n Thanks for all of your support and encouragement.
