Yet, in this new reality, the organization turned the corner and is once again dynamic and growing.<\/p>\n<p>How did this happen? I recently posted <a title=\"The Phantom Org Chart: 4 Positions You Need on Your Team\" href=\"http:\/\/wp.me\/pG9Mh-19\" target=\"_self\"><strong>The Phantom Org Chart: 4 Positions You Need on Your Team<\/strong><\/a>, but equally important are positions you need to make sure DON\u2019T appear on your \u201cphantom org chart\u201d. Here\u2019s my current list:<\/p>\n<p><strong>1.\tChairman of the <em>That\u2019ll Never Work<\/em> Committee<\/strong><br \/>\n\u00ad\tAlso known as the <em>We\u2019ve Tried That Before<\/em> Task Force. A real momentum killer.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2.\t<em>That\u2019s Not in my Job Description<\/em> Supervisor<\/strong><br \/>\n\u00ad\tWant an agile organization? Don\u2019t hire these.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3.\tLead <em>Self-Promotions<\/em> Strategist<\/strong><br \/>\n\u00ad\tThere\u2019s no room for grand-standing on a lean team.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4.\t<em>The Clock Says It\u2019s Time to Go Home<\/em> Coordinator<\/strong><br \/>\n\u00ad\tOften works closely with the <em>That\u2019s Not in my Job Description<\/em> Supervisor<\/p>\n<p><strong>5.\tRegional <em>I\u2019m In a Bad Mood<\/em> Distributor<\/strong><br \/>\n\u00ad\tNegative \u201cvibes\u201d spread like wildfire on a lean team.<\/p>\n<p><strong>6.\tLocal <em>I Have Issues<\/em> Manager<\/strong><br \/>\n\u00ad\tSteer clear of the person who talks about nothing but the drama and crises in their life.<\/p>\n<p>These positions must be avoided on <em>any<\/em> team, but it\u2019s especially important when you\u2019re working with a reduced team because these people will suck time and energy out of you and your team.<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes the lure of apparent <em>competency<\/em> can blind us from realities of <em>character<\/em>.
