Some are obvious, but a few essential disciplines are often well below the radar.<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The obvious disciplines include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h3>Hard work<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>Planning and execution<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>Initiative<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>Resilience<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>But what about the \u201cbelow the radar\u201d disciplines?<\/p>\n<p>Effective leaders know that there are at least 4 often overlooked disciplines that are essential to well-balanced leadership\u2026<\/p>\n<h2>1.\u00a0\u00a0The discipline of not working<\/h2>\n<p>Effective leaders know the value of ending the day, of putting down the phone and the laptop, and of saying \u201cTeam, we\u2019re done\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The day of the all-nighter is over.<\/p>\n<h2>2.\u00a0\u00a0The discipline of fun<\/h2>\n<p>Many driven leaders find that simple fun does not come easily, and that it has to be placed in their Outlook calendar.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s ok.
