This is a very personal blog post.

Participating in the Global Leadership Summit is always an intensely personal undertaking. As member of the team, certainly I am looking at things from a broader, strategic and operational perspective.

But at its heart, the Summit continues to be a place where my own leadership is stretched and forged.

This year, there were 14 quotes in particular that struck me in a profound way.

…and here they are…

  • “Never trust success blindly. Always treat success with a certain skepticism.” – Rasmus Ankersen

  • “If you’re still excited about what you did 5 years ago, you’re not growing.” – John C. Maxwell

  • “All leaders see more than others see, and they see it before others see it.” – John C. Maxwell

  • “Your authenticity is your distinct competitive advantage.” – Carla Harris

  • “When people see someone who is confident and comfortable in their own skin, they will gravitate to that person.” – Carla Harris
